Credit card crimes a plague in Malmö

Almost every fourth Swedish credit card fraud on Internet are based in Malmö. Malmö, which has only a small fraction (less than 3 %) of the population of Sweden, has received international attention because of problems related to Muslims.

There is a system that warns Internet sales businesses for possible fraudulent byuers. The system has listed the postal code areas in Sweden that are highly associated with such buyers. The five postal code areas in Sweden that are most associated with credit card crimes were all in Malmö. Examples of such are Södra Sofielund, Östra Skrävlinge och Rosengård, the latter being nation-wide publicly known as having high degree of inhabitants with a foreign background.

55 fires in Malmö on New Years Eve

On New Years Eve 2007, Malmö had 55 fires in containers and such. In Skåne, the region which Malmö is part of, there were including those in Malmö more than 70 fires. The population of Malmö is only a small part of the Skåne's total population.

Man convicted of accusing ethnic group of group rape

"A man who displayed a placard accusing immigrants of group rape at an anti-racism rally has been convicted of agitation against an ethnic group", The Local writes.

Hold-ups as a "war on Swedes"

"When we are in town mugging others, then we are at war, we are conducting war against the Swedes". This was a recurring argument from 11 young people with "foreign" background to explain why they only mugged Swedes.

Petra Åkesson interviewed youngsters in the Swedish problem-stricken town Malmö, as a thesis in her undergraduate sociology studies.

The America House and other objects in Gothenburg on fire

Man dies of the wounds he caught in a fire in the Gothenburg landmark The America House, "Amerikahuset".

Several buildings around Gothenburg were on fire on friday night and saturday early morning. The America House was saved by fire fighters but one mans life couldn´t be saved. He died at a hospital.

The police suspects that some of the fires (the fire in the America House was not mentioned here in the source) were caused by arson.
A burning object were tossed in through a crashed window at a company selling used up-scale mostly German cars, according to police officer Göran Carlbom. One vehicle was destroyed.

Media has not reported that the fire in The America House, which were reported to the fire-department around 05.00 in the morning, were caused by arson. Police are investigating the cause of the fire, which started at the attict.

The America House is one of Gothenburgs först monumental buildnings. It was raised in 1919 and has been used as a storage for Swedish American Line . It was renovated a couple of years ago and some of the space was turned into habitual appartments, others into offices. Media has as far as this blog knows not been speculating about if any of the fires are an act of terrorism. If The America House was targeted because of it´s obvious symbolic link to USA, perhaps it should. The fires took place two days after the movie Fitna was released, and media has not speculated about any correlation to this issue either. Furthermore, media seems to not have speculated about if the fires were started (assuming they were caused by arson) by a single person or a single group of persons.

The number of fences built in Malmö has quadrupled

Malmö has the recent years received international attention because of the tension between its non-Muslim and large Muslim population.

In Malmö there has been a quadruple increase in the last ten yeras of the number of fences and walls that has been built around privatly owned appartment houses and villas, writes Sydsvenskan.
Ten years ago the agency in Malmö that allows walls and fences to be built received 50 applications a year. It now receives 200 applications a year. 90 % of the applications are approved.

Three assaults on journalists in Bergsjön

Three journalists has recently been assaulted on three different occations in Bergsjön, near Gothenburg, Sweden.

A photographer working for Swedish television network TV4 in Bergsjön was surronded by 15 persons and had his camera equipment destroyed. He or she was verbally threatened to be killed.

This friday one free-lancing photographer was battered when taking photos in Bergsjön.

One reporter and a photographer from SvT, Swedish public service television, had their equippment destroyed when working i Bergsjön. Their photos were destroyed as well.

Media attention has been on Bergsjön since one person was murdered there earlier in March. The murdered person was known by the police. The reason for the murder is unknown to this blog. The population of Bergsjön is 14 500 and 60 % of the population is of a foreign background.

A non-stereotypic parents meeting at school

A consortium of schools in Sweden has been shipping money to accounts in Dubai, Djibouti och Ethiopia without paying taxes on those transfers. The schools may therefore be shut down by the authorities.
